AZERBAIJANI YOUTH FILM FESTIVAL
2017 THEME
Do you have someone in your family with an extraordinary talent or story?
Do you live in an area unlike any other?
Do you have a view of the world unlike anyone else?
This year we’re looking for stories only YOU could tell.
Submit a film in one of three categories:
DOCUMENTARY
Interview a family member, show us a unique place in your town, follow a day in the life of a teacher at your school
The documentary category is for films that take us into your real life
SHORT NARRATIVE
Recreate a story from your childhood, imagine the world from your dog's perspective, show us what you think your town was like in the past
The short narrative category is for films that take us into your imagination. Films in this category have to connect to you in some personal way.
MUSIC VIDEO
Perform a song you wrote or love, choreograph a dance, film your favorite wedding band
The music video category is all about the music. Films in this category must feature a performance and minimal dialogue
Each category will have have a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize winner. There will also be several prize winners in special categories.
FESTIVAL RULES

Participants must be younger than 25 years old

Actors can be over 25, but the director, editor, and other crew members must be under 25.

One film per participant

Films must be shorter than 8 minutes

Films must have been completed after January 1st, 2015

Films MUST be shot in 24 frames per second. We will be UNABLE to show any films shot in a higher framerate.

Add the AYFF logo to the end of your film.
