AYFF '16 Updates: WOWOMAN Training
For our final training of the year we were lucky to partner up with WOWOMAN, a local organization dedicated to providing new opportunities to women in Azerbaijan. At the Azerbaijani Youth Film Festival we want to make sure the films we showcase represent everyone in Azerbaijan, so we made sure our final festival line up features as much diversity as possible. AYFF '16 Updates: Agcebedi Training
Our training season winds down as we head to Agcebedi for our last regional training of the year, and what a great note to end on. From the moment we started our participants were engaged and excited to learn. We managed to cover everything in record time and had plenty of extra time to field questions from the trainees. AYFF '16 Updates: AAA Training
We held a small, focused training in Baku this week with the help of the at the U.S. Educated Azerbaijani Alumni Association. The smaller group allowed us to work with participants on a more individual basis and dig into their individual questions. Training Gallery #2016 #trainings
AYFF '16 Updates: Mingechiver Training
Battling through the summer heat, we held a training with fifteen participants in Mingechiver. Azerbaijani summers are tough, but our trainees showed no signs of it as they filmed and edited their own short videos. Training Gallery #2016 #trainings
AYFF '16 Updates: Sheki Training
After leaving Balaken we traveled to the city of Sheki for our next training. For the past few years Sheki has been home to a growing film scene, and so we tailored our training to be more of a Master Class, working with a smaller group with more film experience. Training Gallery #2016 #trainings
AYFF '16 Updates: Balaken and Zaqatala Film Trainings
In mid July the Azerbaijan Youth Film Festival trainers traveled to the north west regions of Azerbaijan to start our 2016 training season. Seventeen participants with a range of skills came from Zaqatala and Balaken for a two day training covering the basics of cinematography and editing. Training Gallery #2016 #trainings
